ANALYSIS OF PROFIT MAXIMIZATION IN BREAD COMPANY "SARI MURNI" USING SIMPLEX METHOD

Company have to use raw material as efficient and as effective as possible to maximize the profit. this paper contains how compan should combine raw material in order to bring out optimal profit in Bread Company "Sari Murni".

Purpose of this paper is to understand how much profit will be obtained from doughnut bread, chocolate bread, cheese bread, and coconut bread using simplex method.

Data obtained for this paper is gained through inquiry with employee and company’s owner, direct observation on the site and literature study.

Simplex Method concludes that, Bread Company “Sari Murni” can gain optimal profit by producing 2.800 doughnut bread, 909 cheese bread, and 3.200 coconut bread. Optimal Profit that the company can gain is amounted Rp 2.307.273 per day. The most efficient raw materials used for doughnut are 10 gram of flour, 1 gram of eggs, 1.5 gram of butter, 1.5 gram of white sugar, 1 gram of milk powder, 1.25 gram of chocolate’s grains, 0.1 gram of yeast, 0.05 gram of vegetable oil, and 0.02 gram of salt. While the most efficient raw materials used for cheese bread are 11 gram of flour, 2 gram of eggs, 2 gram of butter, and 0.03 gram of salt. The most efficient raw materials for coconut bread are 10 gram flour, 0.75 gram of eggs, 1 gram of butter, 1 gram of sugar, 1 gram of milk powder, 2.5 gram of coconut, 0.12 gram of yeast, 0.03 gram of coconut oil, and 0.02 gram of salt.
